Résumé :

This text is a summary of the conclusions of the "four continental debates" that were held in February 1995: in Asia (Beijing), America (Rio de Janeiro), Europe (Paris), and Africa (Cape Town).

These simultaneous debates, preceding the World Social Summit in Copenhagen, brought together citizens from more than 60 countries. They are a reflection of a global citizenship in development, closely linked to specific local realities and at the same time ready to take up contemporary challenges on a global scale.

These debates are the result of the Alliance initiative launched in 1994, gathering persons from more than 80 countries around a common platform and various continental initiatives.
