The Competitive State

Résumé :

The article is a synthesis of several readings accomplished by the author; its objective is limited to try to understand the new logic of the state action, when subordinated to the neoliberal ideology. THE competitive State, that is the neoliberal State, presents characteristic lines that distinguish it of the Welfare State, more accordingly to the Keynes’ideology and social democracy; it is organized inside societies where the market is accepted as a larger instrument of coordination and the principal of social unification. A rupture occurs in the balance of power between the State and the capital.
